Hannon decides to go to the polls this year alongside Rosallion.
Queen Anne will be a big early target in 2025.
Richard Hannon has opted not to run Rosallion once again this season, with his primary goal for 2025 being to win the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot.
After winning the St James's Palace Stakes and the Irish 2,000 Guineas, he was getting ready for a major matchup with Notable Speech and Henry Longfellow in the Sussex Stakes.
Though Hannon had not entirely ruled out running again this year, his season was finally cut short when he was declared unable to compete due to a respiratory virus the day before the race.
"I believe that to be true (that he won't be running this season). At this point, Hannon has nothing more to prove, he said to Nick Luck's Daily Podcast.
"He wouldn't have run well and wasn't the proper fit for Goodwood. He was diagnosed with a lung infection, treated with antibiotics, and returned to full health three weeks later.
"The ground has gone now so let's look forward to next year – look forward, not back."
Hannon is going all out for the major mile races with this excellent colt he has in hand.
"His (first) major race will be the Queen Anne (at Royal Ascot), followed by the Lockinge, possibly the Sussex, and all those other major races, possibly the Breeders' Cup," he declared.
"Next year, he will undoubtedly continue his training. He's the ideal horse, and he's fun to be around.
"I just feel like he's taken a long break and he gets pretty big. He would need a lot of work in advance because on Champions Day, the field is usually very soft, and I would hate to end the season on a bad note."
"I would much rather the winter went much quicker looking at a St James's Palace and an Irish Guineas winner."
