Newsboy’s top tip for Tuesday's horse racing action highlights Something as the standout contender in the Get Raceday Ready Handicap (4:25) at Newcastle. Trained by Jedd O’Keeffe, the gelding has been improving throughout the season. Although he hasn’t secured a win yet, Something came close in his last race, finishing second by a length and a quarter behind Sectarius over the same course and distance just 11 days ago. With question marks surrounding many of his competitors, this three-year-old son of Golden Horn, ridden by Paul Mulrennan, has a strong chance to secure his first victory on his seventh attempt.
Another notable pick for Tuesday is Jamie Osborne's filly, Executive Decision, who lines up for the Watch On Racing TV Handicap (5:03) at Leicester. Although winless this season, the four-year-old showed signs of a return to form recently. She narrowly missed out by a neck to Sophia’s Starlight in a competitive six-furlong handicap at Newmarket last month and followed up with a respectable fourth-place finish at Salisbury. With conditions set to be tested, the step up to seven furlongs is expected to work in her favour.
