Tiffany squad aiming for further success in Germany

Preis von Europa in filly’s sights following Baden-Baden strike.

After her impressive victory at Baden-Baden, Tiffany, owned by Sir Mark Prescott, will return to Germany where she may attempt to repeat the trainer's Arc winner Alpinista's feat by winning the 62nd Preis von Europa.

With his future Paris Longchamp heroine, the Heath House handler won three straight German Group One titles in 2021. Tiffany, meantime, is no stranger to the continent, having won her second title on German soil in the Group Two T.von Zastrow Stutenpreis.

With the Baden-Baden victory, the Farhh daughter's record for 2024 now stands at three wins and a second-place finish in the Lancashire Oaks from four starts. She has been in remarkable form this term.

She will now go up to Group One company on September 22 in Cologne, where a good performance may set her up for a major race assignment closer to home, on British Champions Day, in the Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at Ascot.

"We were thrilled with her this year and she's done well," Elite Racing Club owner Dan Downie said.

Sir Mark Prescott knows his way round the German programme book
According to John Walton/PA, Sir Mark Prescott is well-versed in the German program book.

"Although she wasn't in the strongest Group Two in Baden-Baden, her performance was truly astounding.

"As of right now, the idea is for her to race on September 22 at Cologne, after which we'll maintain Ascot as an option. She is familiar with Germany, therefore her first destination is there."

In 2004, Prescott and Albanova won the Preis von Europa, and Rebel's Romance won the Cologne competition before going on to win the Breeders' Cup Turf in 2022.
