Treble Tee Shines in Newmarket Debut, Eyes 2000 Guineas
Treble Tee dazzles at Newmarket on his debut, overcoming adversities and securing a decisive victory in the Aston Martin Novice Stakes. Trained by Simon and Ed Crisford, this promising colt shows strong potential for future achievements.
Treble Tee began his career impressively, making a significant impact at Newmarket on Wednesday. Trained by Simon and Ed Crisford, the son of Persian King was well-supported in the market at 100-30 for his debut in the Aston Martin Novice Stakes. Guided by James Doyle, the promising colt consistently maintained a strong position and pulled away from Mudbir, who is trained by John and Thady Gosden, in the final stages, resulting in 33-1 odds for the 2000 Guineas with Paddy Power.
“The race looked competitive beforehand, and he did exceptionally well,” said Ed Crisford. “He traveled smoothly, showed a good finishing touch, and displayed all the attributes you hope for in a debut performance. Normally, I’m not pleased when a first-time runner is drawn on the outside, as it can be a disadvantage and keeps them from competing among other horses. However, the way he was moving gave me confidence.”
He quickened impressively and secured the win decisively, marking him as a horse with a promising future. We'll give him some time to rest and see how he develops over the winter before making any further decisions. With such a strong debut, he has many options ahead, and I believe he will excel at longer distances in the future. Winning these maidens is crucial, as it sets the stage for what lies ahead.
In the opening Prestige Vehicles Fillies' Restricted Novice Stakes, Hugo Palmer's Misty Sky made an impact by achieving victory at her fifth attempt with odds of 4-1.
