Wild Tiger Poised to Chase Bahrain Riches This Winter

Royal Ascot winner currently coming back from mid-season break.

Wild Tiger, the Royal Ascot champion, has resumed light training in preparation for an autumn campaign that will culminate in a bid for the Bahrain International Trophy.

Trained by Saeed bin Suroor, the five-year-old horse achieved a remarkable hat-trick in the Royal Hunt Cup, following earlier victories at Yarmouth and Goodwood.

After taking a mid-season break, Wild Tiger is gradually being brought back to peak fitness, with the Bahrain event, which was won last year by Richard Fahey's Spirit Dancer, on his schedule.

"He has already competed five times this year, so I felt it was necessary for him to have a break after Ascot," Bin Suroor remarked.

"I allowed him to rest, and he is currently undergoing light training as we look towards the autumn for his next race.

"Our primary goal is to prepare him for the significant race in Bahrain, and he is also set to compete in Dubai next year. It is essential to provide them with a break at some point.

"He is a horse that continues to improve, and his victory at Royal Ascot was impressive. He appears to have a promising future, and we must take good care of him.

He raced in Dubai last year, so he has had a busy schedule."
