Symbol Of Strength will face tough competition, including Gimcrack runner-up Shadow Of Light, trained by Charlie Appleby. The Godolphin colt impressed in his first two outings and gained valuable experience at York. Appleby is confident his charge has progressed since then and expects the horse to handle slower ground if necessary.

\\\"This is another competitive race, but Shadow Of Light has come forward since York, and we go in with plenty of confidence,\\\" said Appleby.

Also vying for top honours is Powerful Glory, trained by Richard Fahey, who made a big impression on debut at Pontefract last month. Racing manager Bruce Raymond believes this colt has a strong chance, stating, \\\"Powerful Glory is a lovely horse, and I think he's got a good chance in this race.\\\"

Sarab Star, another newcomer in the field, is trained by Jack Channon and will carry the colours of Jaber Abdullah. Raymond remains cautiously optimistic about Sarab Star’s potential despite the horse being one of the outsiders in the field.

Meanwhile, Bargain-buy Brian has enjoyed a standout season for trainer Sylvester Kirk. Having already won at Newbury over this course and distance and placed in high-profile races, Brian’s connections decided to supplement him for the Mill Reef Stakes for £5,000 earlier this week. Kirk believes the two-year-old is more than capable of putting in a strong performance.

Symbol Of Strength Ready to Shine in Competitive Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury

High hopes for Adrian Keatley-trained Sirenia winner in Newbury feature.

Trainer Adrian Keatley is optimistic about Symbol Of Strength’s chances in the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury on Saturday. The Kodiac colt, who has been steadily improving, will return to turf after showcasing his talent with a Group Three win at Kempton two weeks ago in the Sirenia Stakes.

After winning on his second start at Ayr in July, Symbol Of Strength surprised many with a close third-place finish at 80-1 in the Gimcrack Stakes at York. He then proved that performance was no fluke by claiming his first Group race win at Kempton. Keatley believes his colt has earned his place in the Group Two line-up and is well-prepared for the challenge ahead.

"He's in great form and came out of his last race well," Keatley said. "We think the track will suit him, and we're hopeful of a big run."
